An Art Movement Called Bryanism!
An Art Movement Called Bryanism!
Bryan Bromstrup is an oil painter, digital artist, and a photographer. As a contemporary artist known for his unique and innovative approaches by producing art pieces that reflect what he enjoys in life. It comes from observing interesting things around him, but it definitely comes from life experiences. Art has originated from pop culture, music and from travel, especially his love for the National Parks. “I’ve learned something new from every painting I have ever done. As I get older, I find the artist in me has come to the forefront, expanding the simple everyday things I always do into interesting pieces of art." Originally from Beech Grove, Indiana, Bryan now resides in Terre Haute, Indiana.
"When it comes to being creative, I look beyond the how to do it and enjoy the process of just letting the brush work its magic.” Because there is not a distinct style with each piece and his art comes from anywhere, he likes to call his art style, 'Bryanism'. Beyond oil painting, Bryan continues to expand his photography perspectives, painting techniques, and other digital media concepts. In today’s tech-oriented world he continues to be influenced by photo manipulation applications and learning other digital art platforms. Bryan hopes people find something they like in this randomness and invites viewers to evaluate the purpose of art through his eyes and their own.
Bryan has shown art in galleries and online across the Country. As a regular on the Terre Haute art scene with shows at Arts Illiana Gallery, and The Gallery @ Clabber Girl Museum, as well as throughout the city streets where he has 3 community Coke Bottle Sculptures and tagging him in the Roadside America App. He has also been showcased in various Indianapolis venues. His Creative Action Network poster Badlands National Park was used as artwork on a limited release Badlands Yankee Candle. His piece is titled, Bravery – Makes America Great, was archived in the Library of Congress’ Poster Collection in 2017! In December of 2017, Bryan was also a featured artist in Terre Haute Living Magazine. Bryan's artwork is featured with other artists at the Crow Peak Brewing Company in Spearfish, South Dakota. For the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, Bryan was lucky enough to have a signature piece recognized in one of a kind exhibit at the Stutz Art Gallery in Indianapolis, IN. And as they say, this is just the beginning...
